Are There Any Grapes In the House?

This traditional Log Cabin was made in a quilt-as-you-go technique (See "Segment Quilting" on the Classes page). The grape wreath appliqued border is an original design. Machine pieced, machine appliqued, machine quilted.  When Hayley was seven, I asked her what type of quilt she wanted. Her reply of a "Carousel quilt, Mommy!" gave me visions of working on a detailed applique quilt that would be done in time for her college graduation, ...maybe. When I asked her for her second choice, she said, "Purple." DONE!
