2009. 97" x 82".
Featuring machine applique ("Down-Under Applique"), machine piecing, and hand quilting with original motifs, this pattern is based on the traditional "Providence" block. The bright colors inspired the name, thought up by my daughter. I bought about a million yards of yellow rick-rack that was to outline the scallops in the blue border, but it didn't look quite right upon application. All that rick-rack had to go somewhere, so I stuck it in the binding. 2009, 97" x 82" (because I put the sleeve along what was meant to the the side of the quilt....)
