Child's Play

2016. 42" x 42".

What to do when a young daughter needs to be kept busy while mother wants to quilt? Give her a piece of graph paper and ask her to design a quilt. What to do when the quilt she designs is made of covetous bright colors that puts one's own color sense to shame? Steal the design and make it into a real quilt! Took me years to get around to it, but when I needed a quick project, daughter Gigi's old coloring page came to mind. Machine pieced and quilted.
