2021, 91 x 91"
My far-flung adventurous daughters find themselves living in a variety of locations around the globe. These tendencies not only offer us some memorable visits, but a focus for a quilt series to commemorate some of these places. Currently, one daughter is living and working in the Washington, DC area and I've "owed" her a quilt for a while. Making it in the middle of a very gloomy December, I wasn't feeling the red, white, and blue theme, but I thought working with the lovely colors found at the DC Cherry Blossom Festival might be just the ticket to lift mid-winter spirits.
The pattern was closely adapted from "The Violet Quilt" pattern by Erica Jackman.
